News and Information from the Burrator Fly Fishers Club
Sunday, 13 April 2014
After catching a couple of Rainbows knew this was something different when the fish hit the fly and raced off to the deep water stripping the line down to the backing.
Took a quick photograph then safely returned to the water to fight another day.
Hi Mark - That is a very nice fish. Well done. It is, in fact, the second decent brownie caught in recent days; Al Lawson, one of the honorary bailiffs, caught a two pounder last week.
Generally the Burrator fishing has picked up, I think. I have been several times and have had fish on each visit, mostly rainbows but also the odd 'Blue' trout which have fought extremely well; their aerobatics being something to behold.
Thanks for continuing to post and for taking the trouble to put up some nice pictures.
